Verifactu invoicing for a rural stay: what it means and how not to duplicate the work
If you invoice the stay, Verifactu is not optional. How the invoice fits with digital check-in and the MIR report in a rural house, without a separate accounting suite.
If you run a rural house or a small stay in Spain and issue an invoice to the guest or a company, sending it to the tax agency with Verifactu is part of that obligation. It is not a chain-hotel extra: it is the same paperwork the rules already ask for, often done by hand or in a programme separate from the traveller report.
This is not tax advice. It explains the operational problem and how Reserviq treats it in the product.
The usual mess in a rural house
Day to day, work splits into three places:
- The traveller report (MIR / SES.Hospedajes).
- The stay invoice (and its submit to the tax agency).
- The notebook or spreadsheet of who sleeps when.
Each one happens late, with the guest at the door or the following Monday. The errors are not “software errors”: they are typing the same ID three times.
What the invoice has to do
The stay invoice needs data you already have (or should have) in the registration: who stays, dates, amount. Verifactu adds the fiscal record submit to the tax agency. If that lives in another programme, you type it again.
Reserviq treats invoicing as its own module: the invoice comes from the stay and is sent with Verifactu. We do not publish prices on the site; Pricing lists what the module includes and what the addons are.
How it fits with the MIR report
Reserviq’s rural hook is that pair:
- Digital check-in + MIR addon: the guest fills in, you submit the report.
- Invoicing module: you issue the invoice and send it to the tax agency.
Bookings (calendar, rates, public booking) are there when you leave the notebook. You do not need them on day one.
